I'm curious as to how this match fixing news came about

As some of you may know, I work at the ground on match day relaying stats back to Germany which are fed on to Asia. I heard a story a few weeks ago about a similar thing being done at the Newcastle ground but something along the lines of an "insider" calling back to Asia as it was quicker than the PDA's which I and many others use to relay the stats. I figured that this was pish, apparently not!
