1) he thinks BT care about his privacy

i didn't say that. I said, the phone has stopped annoying me, which is brilliant. The data gathering is going on everywhere and there's not much I can do about it without inviting paranoia.

2) he's sticking with BT as broadband provider because he's pleased with them as a phone provider

I'm not, 'cos they aren't. I'm with Madasafish, using BT as a landline provider.
