i went fishing for pretty much the first time this summer

got a cheap little rod and some big expensive worms. it was good fun, but all i caught was a tiny little thing. I was going to throw it back but my father in law said i should keep it in a bucket to show the daughter. Unfortunately it must have jumped out of the bucket and I found it dead on the rocks.

Anyway, what i was wondering was, what was it? It had goldish scales and a little barb under the chin.

I'll post a photo when i get it off my camera.
