I'm glad with a new man around, Cureton has really shown him since

Grant slated Martin, but then, so has Roeder, but fairly quietly so

I was meaning Huckerby and Dublin, grant wouldn't touch them in terms of criticism. This is one of the reasons for me Grant fell to bits, because he couldn't keep firm grip on discipline, and would criticise some, but not all, to the point where he lost it

Roeder is in Grants position now, injuries, new squad players are his signings, results aren't forthcoming. Roeder just has a bit more experience not to crack

Worthington though? Do me a favour, whenever Worthington didn't funding we were s**t awful From getting the job from 2001-02 after the play offs, he'd spent the itv "money" of about 3m. In 2002/03, he got about 300k to spend, and look at the season we had

By 03/04, it was the same again, the likes of Briggs being the new Heckingbottom etc. 10 games in and we were a laughing stock, Notts Forest away topped it, a shambles

Days later Huckerby Crouch and Harper arrived, and it not only saved Worthingtons bacon, he transformed the season

Huckerby was Roeders Taylor/Cheds, a revelation, needed signing, and was. Alongside 50k Svensson (turning into 300k on promotion), and 600k Leon, and a very good loan of Cooper

It went right for Worthington because of funding. It would go right for us under Roeder with money

By the end though, even with money, Worthington just screwed up.

So the suggestion that we need Worthington now, is a laughable one for me
