Should the black England players just ignore the abuse and get on with it?

I can't help feeling that by getting so upset about the racist chanting that they are just playing into the hands of the racists. If they just got on with it and ignored it it would show the racists that there abuse was all in vain and they might even pack it in.

Are they being too sensitive? i mean if say England played a game in Africa and everytime a white English player got the ball the fans made "grunting, pig type" noises the white players would just ignore it and you would'nt have all this fuss in the media about racism would you?
