Thanks to everyone who sponsored me in the Great North Run - due to the frankly idiotic generosity of a small number of people I've raised about ?850 for Cancer Research UK.

I can't walk downstairs very well and my nipples are sore like nobody's business - when I finished, righty was bleeding into my City shirt.

I finished in a time of 2:12:12 in 20,150th place - slightly outside the 2hrs 10m target I'd liked to have achieved, but I'm more than happy with it nonetheless.

Loads of people shouted "Come on Norwich" at me at the end, which I liked.

Was a f**king trial and a half getting down the A1 home afterwards though.
