i can't remember if it was Spurs or Arsenal that we've had issues with over loans before

but i think it was when we got Marney in and he got injured in his first or second game for us and it was clear he was going to be out for the whole season. IIRC we asked to terminate the loan agreement early but they insisted on seeing it through because of the wages issues - we may have managed to negotiate it in the end though

alternatively it could've been with Arsenal and Bentley when he had his injury. it was believed that he was going to be out for the rest of the season, but when Arse insisted on keeping it going we kept hold of him, and then in the end he managed to make it back toi fitness for the last couple of weeks (i'll never forgive him for Fulham though...)
