?15000 in labour to resurface a street (not a big street either, talking about 10 houses either side)

Never mind the equipment used and materials

It's where health and safety becomes ridiculous

I reckon if you called in Mr Bill, and his hardworking lads, it would take 4 of them 10 days working on a weekend for ?6k

Of course, it would probably against health and safety, so we'll shove your council tax up instead
