What has become clear is that we had no transfer budget this season, which was why no move was made for anyone early in the transfer window. With the sale of Francis we are now ?2M+ up on dealings but no new signings are to be made before January. With at least 28 games before then and a left back already playing in midfield this is nonsense. Same as last season - plenty of prudence, not enough ambition!
