Agree with both.

Despite what Rofl says-and yes, we are skint and that dictates just about everything the club does-and, crucially, what it doesn't-players ARE put off by Norwich's location.

Thats not some conspiracy theory that we've cooked up either. We've seen the quotes, time and time again, from players we wanted, or players that have since left. As recently as last season, Dublin said that he very nearly didn't stay on for that extra season because of where we were, compared to where his family were settled. Anyone remember Paulo Vernazza? He cited our location after he'd gone to Watford instead, Matthew Spring was told by his wife he wasn't going to us because of-yes, our location-and then read Iwan's book, time and time again he moans at players not all going out together because so many of them disappeared to London, the Midlands, even Scotland straight after matches. Keith O'Neill, famously, couldn't wait to get out of Norwich and Norfolk, it goes on and on...

It comes down to the fact that poorly advised and sometimes ignorant footballers see coming here as being stuck on a farm in the middle of nowhere-it might not even be them, it might be their agents, they'd far rather meet their clients for a frothy one in a London bar than trawl up to Norwich.

And yes, Wigan do attract players, but they are Prem League and within the footballing centre of England, home wise, Cheshire. And they pay well.
