we had enough updates on Jarret and Safri's fitness yet there was no mention of Shackell's (and he played a week ago against Inter and by all accounts looked just fine). Looks like a PR response to criticism from fans/press by the club and frankly I'm taking it with a pinch of salt. Their only concern is to make themselves look good (thier job, of course, but it means their public pronouncements - "I want to replace every player who leaves" - frankly aren't to be trusted)
