I personally think it stems from grassroots and schools. However the absence of idols that mirror image the young Asian kids is also a big thing (as outlined in the article). You'll probably find a next genration of Anglo-Asian cricketers because of Monty and boxers like Khan because of Prince Naseem. There's definitely a need for an Asian Beckham to come and change all this.
