My thoughts on saturday.....

I felt so incredibly disappointed as I left the game, but the longer it has gone on I realise that this is just the first game of a very long season, and that there will be plenty of ups and downs to come.

Looking at the team I felt that yet again defensively we were very poor. I wonder just how many of us could predict what was going to happen, it just seemed so obvious to me that they were going to get back into it.

I felt that Louis-jean and flem in particular were very poor, and flem seems to get worse and worse positionally every time I see him.

In midfield I felt that the mix of hughes and charlton was far too negative. You can afford to have one player like that in there, but not two. However injuries have brought about the situation so I cant be too worried.

I felt that marney did ok but no more than that. I cant see how some sunday papers had him as motm, but I suppose that opinions vary. I felt that his general play was tidy, but his corners were woeful. Please, please, please try and beat the first man with the ball.

I felt that Hucks did better than a lot did and provided most of our attacking options. He does need more support from central midfield for me. His passes to marney though were superb.

Ashton was tidy and took his goal well. The one player who I find myself really disappointed with though is Mckenzie. I and my mates around me all felt he was way off the pace and fairly non-existent as a threat.

All in all it was just a typical early season game and with 3points on tuesday we can change the mood drastically.

Oh and worthy, lets have shak back and leave flem on the bench please.
