let me be clear here

i never saw your f**king post about posting at the top of the board, nor did i see (or maybe i saw it, but i don't remember it) your f**king post two years ago about using capitals. i post the way i want, i don't do it to annoy anyone, and i certainly don't try to wind you up.

the capitals thing is the way i post on other websites (i can give you links if you don't believe me); it's because i studied e. e. cummings at the same time that i discovered email and it just became a (bad) habit.

bringing a topic to the top of the board is my way of making sure that the intended reader sees it when the original thread has dropped down too far, as well as other readers of the board. it makes up for the fact that the board doesn't prioritise posts and that an important discussion can be quickly lost beneath a stupid autocomplete alphabet or the suchlike.

we established years ago that you can't take a joke, Himsworth, and that there's no point in expecting you to not take things personally. that's really not my problem, especially on a messageboard that explicitly labels its caustic nature. still, i'm sorry if you took offence.

i respect you more than most people on here for a lot of reasons and i feel like you do me a great injustice by implying that my sole purpose on here is to wind you up. now let it lie.
