Supporters of different clubs can be more passionate - you can't assume that everyone feels exactly the same way. A Celtic fan? An MK Don's fan? Extreme examples but I'm sure you get my drift.
I'm prepared to accept that Newcastle fans are passionate in a way that is different (tho not necessarily better) to a lot of other clubs and I repeat my view that they do perhaps deserve a little better. Just like we would say about our support, albeit on a smaller scale.
Sunderland? Never heard them making any grand claims about their support/passion etc. Crowds invariably drop when you go in to the Championship and they averaged well over 30,000 the last time they were there. Pretty good if you ask me.
