A win achieved with a makeshift defence, two of our first choice midfield out, and two players going off - big achievement.

Marshall was outstanding. And so, I thought, was Sibierski. Too often when we have cleared the ball out it has come straight back because the opponents defence have been given time to pass or play out of defence. Not yesterday - even though he was far from winning everything Sib kept their centre backs under pressure so they were rushing their clearances. Not glamorous or eye-catching, but vital.
