by and large, no.

There are few people within any investment bank that earn the massive bonuses or make the big decisions. The majority of headcount are support staff - administrators, IT guys, accountants, secretaries etc. These are all people who busted their guts at school, university and went through the horrendous job application process to get to where they were. These are people who went the extra mile to try and succeed in their chosen field and dedicated a huge portion of their lives to trying to succeed there. Over the years the employees will have built up a huge rapport and team spirit with each other and now for all of this to be gone and for all of these connections to suddenly be broken apart will be crushing.

Having seen first hand the faces of the Lehman employees today it's really not cool...
