I don't think it was lie

I think they actually believed it and it led them into a huge blunder. If there's one thread that runs through this lot's tenure it's the constant over-estimation of the value of the land the club owns and what revenue it will generate. That seems to be the reason there was no deal with Cullum, and if that authentic-sounding post on the Oink 'Un were correct it suggests that it's the reason the Turners have gone too.
