fit enough to make the bench, fit enough to play..sense it was more of a strange selection rather than a fitness issue..and if we were, perchance, worried about him making it through the full 90, surely better to have started with an out-and-out midfielder and then subbed him with someone more defensively minded. Fuck, what do I know..
