Combination of things

Croatia never really got going. England played some excellent football. Capello got his tactics spot on. Croatia struggled to deal with Heskey and the pace of Walcott. When England took the lead, Croatia responded by trying to kick England off the park rather than play their game. The sending off probbaly added a goal or 2 to the scoreline. In truth though England deserved that margin of victory.
