but managed to walk into a cracking job with a club that (like it or not) is going places just at the time that job became available?
If he was saked as BSE said, he would already have gone and if he was made redundant then it would have cost the club a lot of money.
People are leaving because they don't like the way things are going (the Turners were already responsible for others throwing their toys out of the pram and looking for pastures new) and the prospect of a new broom changing the way things are done fills them still further with apprehension about the future.
I don't think he was too chuffed about the way his wife was moved on from the catering side either so that may have had an influence on him wanting to move on too.
