England rot

The rot started in the 2006 World Cup when we were arguably the most negative and over-rated, under-performing team. However , we still only got knocked out on a pen shoot out in the qtr-finals and under Sven we always managed to qualify. In fact in 2004 Euros we could have won that tournament with Rooney on fire but again the pens and ROoney injury consipired against us. Under McLaren the confidence went, the fans fell out of love with the team and the premiership has since become even more powerfull and money orientated which hurts the England team more every year. The influx of foriegn players makes the prem more interesting but we are running down the stock of home grown players so much that Heskey is still considered a first choice striker.

Capello has much to unwind and so far has delivered nothing that his 6m pay packet ought to demand.

He continues to persist with Beckham who has no legs and is just there for the publicity. He still hasn't managed to work out that Lampard and Gerrard cannot play together when the rest of world has. Lampard has no confidence in an England shirt and does not warrant a place. He picked John Terry as captain , and it is difficult to think of a worse role-model in the squad. Gerrard should have been given the role with maybe Ferdinand as vice.

There is so much wrong that I simply dont care anymore. I only care about Plymouth away right now.
