I think that yesterday served as a timely wake up call to players, fans and the manager.
1. Players - don't drop the quality of your game to match that of your opponents. City have been doing this for years, and need to stop this NOW. Keep the passing, keep the tempo, take your chances and kill the game at the first opportunity.
2. Fans - this division will not be a piece of piss. I live down in Southampton and have spent most of the summer trying to get this over to Saints supporters. They don't get it. We, on the other hand, should - we were champions the season before last.
3. Manager - BUY A CENTRAL MIDFIELDER AND PLAY SHACKELL FROM THE START.
I still think we are best positioned out of all the relegated sides to go straight back up, but only if we forget about everyone else, forget about the opposition and do what we do best - get the ball down, pass it well and find the ability to score a hatful of goals to finish teams off.
