The problem is

It's not just journeymen throwing bombs he has to look out for, the better boxers can soak it up, box back (hard!), *and* launch the big shots. They only have to land once, whereas Khan will have to keep them away for 10/12 rounds.

Bearing in mind I'm not a boxer, I always thought amateur boxing at the lighter weights was about landing the punches rather than getting any great power behind them. The pros will mash you up to slow you down and consequently hit much harder. Khan's also been dropped by a guy with a reputation as a bit of a powder-puff. While that doesn't mean he couldn't throw a good shot, it does make you wonder...
