No such thing - you're paying for it on your contract.

Seems to have had some decent reviews, but the tell tale sign is that I haven't see many people with them at work, and that includes both at Orange and T-Mobile. The faves here seem to be Nokia or SE for basic phones, SPV M650/ HTC Touch and Kaiser as smartphones, and the small-keyboard Blackberry is pretty popular as well.
