The EEN seems to be much more clued up than the EDP in all this this

Possibly because they actually speak to Peter Cullum before doing their stories rather than just speculating wildly!

If they have not spoken to him then that coupled with the ?2m press release this morning suggests they are going down the "anyone but Cullum" route!
