Today's revelation is the reason why I sincerely hope

things can be resolved with Cullum without the need for any kind of "Delia out" campaign or it becoming unpleasant.

I have no doubt whatsoever that Delia and MWJ are genuine fans who have always wanted the best for the club. They may sometimes be a bit stubborn and blind to the obvious when it came to the likes of Worthy but i have never subscribed to the view that they were up to anything sinister or anything other than decent people. Another ?2 million is a significant amount of money for them and well beyond the call of duty.

However the sad fact is that we are now at a time in football when the odd ?2m here and there only papers over the cracks for a short period of time and in many ways just keeps us treading water. At the caps AGM they referred to the fact they had this summer put in the largest sum of money into the club yet and I assume this was what they were talking about (so i am not sure it is a new ?2m injection post Turnergate).

For that reason i sincerely hope there is some truth in the stories that the talks are back on and that they can be concluded in a manner that sees PC (or anyone else suitable with serious cash for that matter) come in, Delia and MWJ receive back a sum that they are happy with for their shares and hopefully both of them remain on the board and as a front for our club. Maybe wishful thinking but for me that is the ideal result!
