Re: Your Notcutts problem.
Your contract is with Notcutts, end of. Therefore they are responsible for the execution (or non-) in this case. You're entitled to on of the following:
1) Execution of the contract within a reasonable timeframe i.e. what you agreed at the time of offering consideration (handing them a deposit). You don't get a say in who does it, i'm afraid.
2) If the above isn't possible, you are entitled to a refund with no compensation. They may offer a goodwill payment but you're not entitled.
Basic contract law, innit.
