I saw a black bear in the wild last week. Marvellous it was, and

disappeared into the woods to do what I think we all suspected bears do there.

Then we nearly hit a young deer at 50mph. As opposed to an old dear. This one managed to spring clean off the road at the last second as we swerved, braked and managed to miss it by about a metre at most.

I now know where the expression "deer in the headlights" comes from. He was looking us right in the eyes and doing a right old parp I think.
