the thing is it still very probably wouldn't be enough

1. even with ?20m you are up against teams with ?10m+ parachute payments etc etc. Of the 4 teams with those big parachute payments last season only one (WBA) and of the other three only one (watford made) even made the playoffs. This year there are SIX teams with the parachute payments.

2. Money doesn't get you that much in this division because anyone worth any sort of money wants to be in the Prem. So you end up sp*nking it on overpriced Fizzy Pop dross (that Norris bloke Ipswich bought, for instance)

Obviously it increases your chances but to suggest that ?20m would be enough to make you more likely to go up than stay down is very probably not true.
