Depends: if I didn't get a new kitchen and my existing one was rubbish,

and without that new kitchen the house would probably get reposessed, and as the current owner I was scratching around in skips and begging old appliances from other home owners to put a third rate kitchen together just to stay afloat...then absolutely.
