Every club has a budget (except Chelsea I suppose) and if he can't get what he wants within ours then what would be the point in signing another Strihavka or Thorne?
And even if we had Cullum's ?20 million who would we get? Ameobi would probably cost the best part of ?5 million so how much would someone who was fit and actually score goals cost? And would they come anyway? Regardless of the lack of a big man the story this season has been missing chances not failure to create.
Last season at Preston we played 90 minutes with two big men up front, never created a thing and never held the ball up to relieve pressure. At Wolves we had a big man up front nearly all the time, never created athing, never relieved the pressure. I'd rather go with what we have than piss money away on the new Chris Brown.
