Equifax = pack of c**ts

I had someone try to take out a mobile phone contract with my details. I only found this out when i went into the O2 store the other day to change my contract. They wouldn't let me have one because I'd already applied for one on the internet earlier this year apparently. This was not me, so they found out it was via the carphone whorehouse. I went in their shop and it appears someone had applied on their webpage using my bank details, but it was declined because they got a couple of things a bit wrong. I ask them to remove it from their records, they say they can't and I have to phone O2. I phone O2, after 10mins on the phone they tell me to phone Equifax as they are the credit reference agency who can get it removed. So, I phone Equifax and they say they can't do it. I need to purchase my credit report before they can discuss details.

What the f**k? They want me to purchase a bit of paper with my financial records on for ?11. Stuff which I'm well aware of seeing as I am me and I know what I have applied for and what I haven't applied for. They want me to purchase a record of which I never asked them to keep. They do it off their own backs, why should I f**king pay for it? I only want them to remove something from their report, I know what it is, they know what it is too. How f**king frustrating is that.
