I still love my k850i. In terms of your old one, some adivce

put it in the airing cupboard for 3 months, basically forget about it

It's possible it might still work

It happen to an old sony ericsson of mine. I had in the ac for 2 weeks and it turned on but wouldn't get passed the sony e screen

After forgetting about it for 3 months, I found it in there, turned it on, and everything worked as normal :s
