Not entirely true

I started there over 25 years ago. Some people are quite proud to work there (although it's not very fashionable to say it).

And the old Norwich Union didn't merge with anyone except CGU - we took over London & Edinburgh in Worthing, but that was to buy their Creditor book.

The CGU mergers were not great from an IT point of view and when NU merged with CGU, there wasn't (perhaps) the investment there could have been.
