I'm trying to see what solution would be the right one

it only takes a few bad results and the same grievences come flooding back

A few wins and it goes quiet, but it always comes back

I don't get what the solution is, and what solution would therefore be accepted because the fans actually had a say in it

Newcastle fans wanted Roeder, then wanted rid. They'll never be wrong about it, but they actually wanted him to be manager, sheppard open it up for them to voice their feelings
