AVG has caused connectivity type problems, AVG 8 that is

Usually to do with getting on the net etc after instal.
My Father in Law (oh, that's the first time i've typed that, cool!) had issues like that after upgrading to AVG. Took it off and went back to 7.something and all was well.

So yes, try taking it off!
