what bollocks

our sports spread around the world because we had an Empire, to which we took them, and the Americans didn't.
It has nothing to with countries looking at the sports and going "ooh, I think that one's better, let's play that"

So of our sports are better and some aren't. For example the US has basketball, which is possibly the crappiest sport ever invented, and to our shame we haev Rugby Union (although to be fair this is only sh*t when played by British teams, the Australians and New Zealanders seem to have turned it into something different which is worth watching).
