Just back from MK

Early chances squandered again. OJ missed a free header after 5 minutes, and then mis-controlled a through ball which the keeper got out to well after 30. It was significant that this move came about not from 50 passes but from winning a ball in the middle and getting into a dangerous area at speed..

Wes played too far inside, and with no Crofty and it wasn?t rocket science to work out that men behind the ball in the middle would be all MK needed to keep us out

We passed it around neatly for 30 seconds or so each time, MK got organised and each attack seemed to fizzle out.

We looked very suspect at the back with a few balls which should have been cut out suddenly turning into dangerous passes. The only width we had on the pitch, which was between our two centre backs, gave MK some space and they from a very neat finish.

The second half was just plain frustrating as it followed the turgid pattern of the first. Pass, pass, pass, then a poor final ball or a speculative shot from the midfield which never looked like troubling MK.

Our only good attempt on goal looked in all the way from Rusty but his shot cannoned off the post. In the final minute Crofty missed another shocker from three yards out. Any decent contact would have been a goal.

Plus points
Drury got through his first game ok
OJ looked a bit better, but missed a couple of good chances
We can pass it for fun when we are 50 yards away from their goal

Minus points
No width from the flanks until it was too late
Build up play far too slow. Teams will work us out very quickly
No creative play of any note from Fozzy and Klingan
Semi was poooor.
Lupoli fell over several times and the ref didn?t buy it.
No atmosphere at all.

It was a bad night, and the comments about the crowd were spot on from T4J. Singing Hucks name won?t help matters at all.
