I thought about that Leeds game

and obviously the Clattenburgling issue is the same and we are stuck with it. But otherwise we started that season with the 5 man midfield and Earnshaw on his own which was never likely to work once the surprise element was gone and teams worked out how to deal with it. Yesterday we pretty much played 4 4 2 and simply played it very well - there is nothing "new" for opponents to work out. And the problem we have is similar - a big man to play alongside Earnshaw then, Lupoli now. But this time the manager seems to have the money to bring in the new forward. And he won't have to keep playing him centre back. So I'm optimistic.
