So, We Lost The First Game Of The Season...?

Oh. My. God. We're all doomed.
Seriously, its a disaster. We're bottom three already and things can only get worse. We can't score, we can't defend, we can't create, its hopeless I tell you, just hopeless... relegation a certainty, administration bound to follow....

FOR FARKS SAKE!!!!!

A few years ago, we needed a win to stay in the Premiership. Such was the hunger and passion of the majority of the players at the time, that match, a match that could have defined the club and their careers left us being humiliated 6-0...

...and since then, everything and just about anything at the club has smacked of mediocrity. And a lot still does....

BUT... we have a manager who has shown a little thought, a little imagination, and not a little passion and desire. He wants it, he wants players that share that. He is slowly, slowly building the club back up to where we would want it, the project is still not even half finished, indeed, progress this season would be credible performances, players that look like they want to play for us, and a team that starts to play like one.

The team and squad is still incomplete. Bertrand was missing today, Bell is a shoe in for the RM position, whilst we wait for that targetman that everyone knows we need, not least the Manager and the coaching team.

We're not going to win the league this season, we're probably not going to finish top six, but we can improve and come together as the season progresses, and, given time, have a good top ten finish and real hope for next season.

So losing 2-0 at Coventry in August, whilst a disappointment, is not the end of the world. And thus shouldn't be treated as such. There will be plenty more s**t days this season, but, I genuinely think, a lot more good ones than there have been for quite some time.

Sorry but there you go, OTBC.
