It is that, and message boards, that drive up wildly unrealistic expectations.

Yes, they give the average jo a chance to question the previously untouchable boards of football clubs - but the boundaries between reasonable questioning and snap judgements (ghost of barry butler, phrankin, selwyn anyone?) mean the heat of the moment, post-match-down-the-pub grumble now lasts (and stays) online all week.
