problem is that we were relegated

so we could no longer run the show as far as prices were concerned. Had we stayed up, green and francis would have gone for several million each. As we've gone down and we need to replace both leaving players and lost revenue that would have paid wages, we can't be so picky.

Have to say that i was surprised how little cash we had though - before the end of the season people were talking about 2 or 3 million + revenue from players leaving, but according to munby, NW had to sell several players before being able to afford anything.
