But not very expensive if bought locally.

The Value pack, including all the extra bits retails at 26k yen here, which is only about 130 quid.

That is much much cheaper than a portable video player (only a single feature of the PSP, which includes MP3, PS2 (more or less), etc.)

I am personally looking forward to the PS3 in Spring... they say it may even hit the original PS2 price point for the basic model, which was 40,000 yen, i.e. 200 quid. Absolute bargain considering it is a PS3 with BlueRay, HDD Recorder, etc. (HDD may be extra on the basic model)

Currently holding off buying a HDD Recorder until PS3 comes out.
