Pre-season friendlies are meaningless

You already knew that Spurs were better than you, so no point in getting despondent. I think your team from last year would have been humiliated tonight - possibly double figures. You lost tonight, but will start the season on the same amount of points as everyone else. At least you have some new players who will probably ensure that you end up with more points than at least half the other teams in the Championship. Not sure you'll end up higher than us, but if you do you might be in the play-offs. Things looked very different 6 months ago!
