Had donated more than an Average of 30 PENCE PER BLOODY PERSON they would not have had to.

For a full day of entertainment.

And the worst thing? That's an average. You can bet you life there will have been people giving, ?1, ?2 even up to ?5 probably, and even more giving sweet FA.
