Can you imagine not spending anything after turning down Cullum.
There would have been all out revolt.
The thing is I dont think we need anywhere 20 million to build a quality squad in this division.
Because we are "broke" teams wont jack the prices for players as much as they would if cullum had come in.
GR has brought in some quality signings for relatively little money.
We may have to spend some big cash for a target man.
I still think we have a shot at getting Shola but we are pleading poverty to get the best price.
I dont see why we dont offer a front loaded deal for him, meaning paying Newcastle a huge sum if we get promoted.
Its win/win, Considering what promotion is worth, handing over 2 million is nothing if it meant getting back into the prem.
We could almost certainly clear all the clubs debts.
Especially if we could survive at least one season.
