I regularly have a beer with the governer of Scheveningen prison, which is where the war

criminals on trial in Den Haag are held.

He told me "only a fool defends himself".

But then he also told me that if he'd brought Slobodan Milosevic down the pub one evening I'd have thought he was fantastic company. Not sure what he was trying to say there.

But seriously, I'm just surprised our friend AVV GIOVANNI DI STEFANO hasn't popped up offering his help yet.
