Talking of Goff, good news for the Canny household
No 1 son rang last night to tell me he is in the final of British Student Greenkeeper of the Year award, the final 8 of 3,500 entries. He is currently in the middle of a degree course on sports turf management. It all looked very scientific and way over my head.
Anyway, final is early Sept in York, winner gets an exchange to a big USA course for 8 weeks in March 09.
