Peter Thompson linked to Norwich???

Stockport County and Norwich City were locked in a tug-of-war over Linfield striker Peter Thompson last night.

The Canaries made contact with the Blues yesterday before tabling an improved bid for the 24-year-old.

Just checked on Wikipedia and he has scored 154 goals in 234 games, and plays in the Northern Ireland equivalent of the premiership...
